DRONE EDUCATION: ENGAGING STUDENTS IN STEM

TEACHER DEVELOPMENT DAY

The JAR Education teacher development day is a 6 hour Workshop designed for educators. It is aimed to develop teachers’ understanding of Drone technology in relation to STEM teaching.

 

JAR Education’s teacher development day is registered as the “Drone Education: Engaging Students in STEM” course which contributes 5 Hours and 30 minutes of NESA Registered Professional Development towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW. It addresses 2.1.2, 4.5.2 and 6.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.

The Teacher Development Day offers:

 

  • Increased familiarity with the drone hardware, software, and operations

  • Outline and understanding of the resources used in the Drone Integration Program courses to help integrate them into your classroom 

  • Hands-on learning through the assembly and flight of the JOEY Drones

  • Coding and python lessons 

  • Opportunity for teachers to network on STEM learning activities

  • A unique platform for educators to share their experience and to discuss and enhance current teaching and learning practices
